Protected: Blog a Story: Zara & William (Cape of Good Hope Series) – Part 8
Every story I complete gets shared in this series of blog posts.
It’s unedited and I welcome your opinion as I go.
Hello my dear readers
Book 1 and 2 has been live here on the blog for a good few months.
It’s high time to introduce you to book 3 in my Cape of Good Hope series.
The 3rd book in this series is titled Zara & William.
This little story lived in my head for many many years. If I say many, I mean decades.
I grew up in a small town with a library! Yay! And I worked my way through this library way before certain books were appropriate. One such book was a romance written by an Afrikaans writer. Now, please don’t ask me the author’s name and don’t ask me the title of the book. I’ve never remembered no matter how I’ve tried.
What stayed with me was a girl born into the slave class of that time in the Cape of Good Hope, which is where this series of stories is set. There was a mistaken gender linked to that character but not in this character. Maybe more forgotten identity.
Is there such a trope?
Never mind.
Anyways, like the previous books in this series, this book will become available chapter by chapter every Friday, 20:00, CAT / GMT+2)
Here’s a version of the description.
William Tredoux returns home after nearly a decade of education in England to find the small servant girl, Zara, grown and beautiful.
Zara came to the service of the Tredoux family under a shroud of mystery, and never left.
Zara’s life is turned upside down when William reveals her true heritage, and whisks her into a life of privilege which she always observed from the outside.
There are some that are not as happy at the discovery and Zara and William’s future together is threatened.
