Vlog 9 – plotting & planning my new book

Hi everybody!

It’s been a while but here’s a new video with the plotting of a new book and a brand new series!

But you’ll have to wait for any more news about this book. I’ve let the typing exercises rest a bit, so I’m back to a much slower speed. In other news… Book 4 in my Sweet Historical Romance Novelette series is done!

Look out for some revision snippets in my near future vlogs. I’ll have a post up at some stage about this book, the cover and the blurb as well.

I think that’s it from me today.

Happy writing!

Vlog 7 – sprints and article writing

Hi everybody!

It’s nice to follow my routine. It’s not rigid but I like the consistency.

My typing exercises are paying off. Slowly my w.p.m is climbing to an average of 70w.p.m. Not too shabby.

Book 4 of my series only received 1 block of sprints today. So the word-count climbed with a mere 600 words.

I finished 2 articles and send it off to the editor which I’m really happy with.

Tomorrow I want to do some more research for work, plan and write the work. I think that’s it from me today.

Happy writing!

Vlog 6 – sprints, typing practice and a bit of preparation

Hi everybody!

Today’s documenting is for two days. I’m proud of the sprints I did on Book 4 of my series.

Today I hit 13k words. I’m aiming for a minimum of 15k words for novelettes. But I do get to 20k words such as what happened to Book 3, Zara and William. It’s not a crises. That’s when the story finished, right? I also included you in a bit of my normal days.

You’ll see me create some marketing images as well as some posts for Instagram. I updated my production document as well.

Lastly I included you in my research and planning process for a non-fiction article due for submission by the weekend. There’s a bit of work to be done but I have at least 2 more days for that. I think that’s it from me today.

Look out for my TBR list for at least the next 2 months. I could finish the books faster but life is a bit unpredictable so I’ll take it a day at a time.

Happy writing!

Vlog 5 – self- editing complete! Zara & William (Sweet Historical Romance Novelette) Book 3

Hi everybody!

I’m done with self-editing today! Yay!

I’ve also done the 1st round of formatting. I’ll do a 2nd round of formatting before this book gets published.

I’ve also send this book off to my Alpha and almost all my Beta readers. I must admit, the interaction with my beta readers is the highlight of the editing process for me. Maybe that’s what I should remember when I start editing on Book 4!

[If you would like to BETA read for me, please look in my LinkTree for the form to complete.]

That’s it from me today!

Vlog 4 – self-editing Zara & William (Sweet Historical Romance Novelette) Book 3 AND…

Hi there!

Today I continued my self-editing journey of Book 3 in my Sweet Historical Romance Novelette series.

This step is where I listen to the story in audio form. I first used the Text-to-Speech app on the iPad. But moved over to Natural Readers online when the app wouldn’t allow me to paste the last edition of my text.

Then I also worked through an hour of sprints on book 4 in this series.

By the way, did you see the book cover for Zara & William? My newsletter subscribers were the first to see it. I’ll be getting the cover into the universe this week. Stay tuned!

That’s it from me today.

Vlog 1! Self-editing Zara & William (Sweet Historical Romance Novelette) Book 3

Hi everybody!

Today I’m continuing the journey of self-editing the 3rd book in my Sweet Historical Romance Novelette series.

This is the 4th last step in my editing process before I will publish it. What’s the other three steps left? – Transferring the changes to the electronic draft, – reading it out loud or listening to it through Natural Readers and then – BETA reads.

And then I’ll see you tomorrow with another vlog!
